Feed the Soul: Uniting Communities through Free Meals and Concerts for the Underserved
Our Feed the Soul program, now in its second year, was recently honored with the 2024 Monmouth Arts ArtsHelps Local Arts Program Award. The event, which took place on April 18th at 5:30pm at the United Methodist Church in Red Bank, featured collaborations with the Backpack Crew in Red Bank and Meal at Noon in Long Branch. This special initiative aims to provide free meals and a complimentary concert to underserved members of our community in Monmouth County, New Jersey.
Inspired by the notion of feeding the mind, body and soul, we want to breakdown the barriers associated with the arts by annually hosting a free meal, and a free concert for those in need. This concert featured local professional artists, musicians and performers.
We view this as an opportunity for our communities to unite. We believe we are stronger together. Having the support of local corporations and businesses, will help mutually lift each other up while putting our talents to good use by giving to, and inspiring those who need it the most.
Accessibility: The United Methodist Church of Red Bank features ramp access at its main entrance.
